Back to Projects

Overview

Page layout is an important concept to understand many of the same principles are used in both UI and Graphic design. A well presented page layout helps the reader digest the material presented and most importantly helps the reader understand the message and goal of the presented material. The use of white space, type styles, paragraph hierarchy, images, and color pallets are very important. These are basic foundations I have learned as a designer. I have used this skill over and over to present both imagery or printed material and is a foundational skill set every designer needs in their skill set.

Page Layout and Printed Materials

Very similar to UI Design is page layout. This use the same typography rules and text hierarchy for headers, paragraph structure, imagery placement and footers. Both skills are applied when woking on a neat and clean page layout that helps the viewer through the document and does not overwhelm the reader with cognitive overload and most importantly displays the message clearly to obtain business goals.
